September HomeLab Update

30th September 2024 / 07:00 PM

Since my last update on the HomeLab I made a lot of changes, which I will showcase here now.

This is what my wooden 19-inch rack currently looks like:

First of all, the most obvious change, a new 3D-Printer. This is an Artillery X1 Sidewinder, with LOTS of modifications made.

Below that is my main Homeserver: A Fujitsu TX100 S3. This acts as my NAS and Docker host, running CasaOS on Debian. It has an Intel Xeon E3-1220 V2 3.5GHz and 16 GiB DDR3 ECC RAM. It runs a lot of services like Gitea, FileBrowser, Jellyfin, Vaultwarden, Nexterm and Uptime Kuma.

Below the Docker Host / NAS are 2 Raspberry Pi 3's mounted in a 3D-Printed rackmount, one running Pihole, one running OpenWRT (this is my WiFi Access Point). I have made a tutorial on how to use a Raspberry Pi as a WiFi AP before: To read it, Click here. To power multiple Raspberry Pi's without wasting too many power outlets, I decided to go with a Multi-USB Power Supply.

I have planned some upgrades and changes for the future, which I will of course showcase in another post.
